Cybervergent Launches Version 3.0 and Expands Across East & Southern Africa

Lagos-based cybersecurity startup Cybervergent, known for its AI-native posture management platform, has unveiled version 3.0 of its solution while simultaneously extending operations into Kenya, Ghana, and South Africa.

Cybervergent’s platform unifies compliance, risk assessment, audit processes, and data security into a single view that continuously updates in real-time. This delivers organizations operational visibility, defensible assurance, and confidence across both cloud and on-premise environments.

The company raised $3 million in seed funding earlier this year to accelerate its growth across Africa. Key features of the new version include:

  • Continuous Assurance: Replacing point-in-time reporting with a dynamic view that reflects current security posture
  • AI-Powered Verification: The platform’s AI engine automatically verifies 99.9% of findings before they appear on dashboards
  • Four Core Domains: Comprehensive coverage across risk management, compliance, audit readiness, and data security

Cybervergent emphasizes its design for complex regulatory environments common in emerging markets. By entering South Africa—a market with particularly rigorous standards—the company demonstrates its ability to compete globally.

“We built verification into the architecture,” explains co-founder Ayomide Daniels. “If a finding can’t be traced back to source documentation, it doesn’t reach the dashboard.” This ensures that users only see validated security insights, reducing alert fatigue and improving decision-making.

The expansion will leverage a channel-first strategy with local partners in key hubs like Lagos and Accra to deploy its solution at scale.
