Scaling Digital Education Across Borders
3C Coding School, an Egyptian edtech startup focused on coding and technology education, has secured $3 million in seed funding to fuel its expansion into Saudi Arabia and enhance its learning platform. The round was led by MRG Economic Group with participation from investor Amr Saad and several angel investors.
Founded in 2015 by Hossam Hosny and Ahmed Khallaf, 3C Coding School offers programs covering web & mobile development, data science, AI, cybersecurity, game development, and more to students of all ages. The company reports reaching over 120,000 students with a recent revenue growth rate exceeding 230%.
Strategic Expansion into Saudi Arabia
The decision to target Saudi Arabia aligns with the Kingdom’s growing focus on digital skills development and technology investment—making it an attractive market for edtech companies seeking regional expansion. By entering this market, 3C aims to leverage its existing traction and cater to increasing demand for coding education in the Gulf region.
Personalized Learning Through AI
A significant portion of the funding will support the development of an AI-powered learning platform designed to personalize educational experiences based on individual student needs and progress. This system will track student activity, monitor performance, and provide instructors with actionable insights to adapt course content accordingly—addressing the challenges of scaling personalized education.
This new technology complements 3C’s existing project-based teaching approach, which emphasizes problem-solving and critical thinking over rote memorization. By using real-time data on student engagement and learning patterns, the platform will recommend relevant content and activities to optimize each individual’s educational journey.
The company’s expansion comes at a time of heightened demand for digital skills across Africa and the Middle East, as employers prioritize technology capabilities and governments invest in workforce development initiatives. 3C Coding School now has the resources to test its model in a new market while simultaneously building advanced learning technologies that could transform how students acquire critical digital skills.
