Egyptian Startup Empowers Next-Gen Tech Talent with $3M Investment

3C Coding School, an Egypt-based edtech platform specializing in coding, technology, and AI education for children and youth, has announced a successful US$3 million seed funding round. The investment will fuel the company’s expansion into Saudi Arabia and accelerate the development of its AI-powered learning platform.

Founded in 2015 by Hossam Hosny and Ahmed Khallaf, 3C Coding School aims to transform computer science education for young learners. Unlike traditional approaches that focus on syntax memorization, 3C emphasizes higher-order thinking skills like logical reasoning, creative problem-solving, and critical analysis.

The platform offers comprehensive learning tracks across in-demand fields including web/mobile app development, data science, AI/machine learning, game development, and cybersecurity. With a current user base of over 120,000 students, 3C has established itself as a leading provider of tech education in the region.

The seed round was led by MRG Economic Group with participation from investor Amr Saad and strategic angel investors. According to Hosny, co-founder and CEO of 3C Coding School, “This funding represents more than just capital; it’s validation of our vision to build a transformative edtech platform that empowers the next generation of tech leaders across the Middle East.”

The company plans to use the investment to expand its reach into Saudi Arabia while enhancing its AI-driven learning capabilities. 3C’s approach aligns with growing demand for digital skills training in Africa and globally, as employers seek candidates prepared for emerging technologies.
