Speeding Up Business: Nigeria and Rwanda Rank Among Top African Markets for Incorporation

According to a new report from Norebase, businesses can now legally incorporate in Nigeria and Rwanda within 24-72 hours thanks to digital registration systems. This contrasts sharply with countries like Angola, where the process can take over 130 days due to notarization and translation requirements.

Digital Reforms Drive Efficiency

The report highlights how government initiatives are transforming business registration across Africa. In Nigeria, the Corporate Affairs Commission’s AI-powered portal has slashed incorporation times from a week to minutes, processing over 11,000 registrations in a single day.

Rwanda has taken a similar approach with its Development Board’s online platform, moving all business registration processes digital.
