Supporting Inclusive Education in Nigeria
Co-creation Hub (CcHUB), with support from the Mastercard Foundation, has selected 12 Nigerian startups for its fourth EdTech Fellowship cohort. These early-stage companies will receive up to $100,000 each in equity-free funding and mentorship over an 18-month period.
The fellowship focuses on innovative education solutions that address specific inclusion challenges, including:
- Barriers for learners with disabilities
- Needs of internally displaced persons (IDPs)
- Access limitations in underserved rural communities
- Gender disparities impacting girls and young women
- Building data systems to improve educational pathways
“This cohort represents founders who are building with inclusion at the core,” said Nissi Madu, Managing Partner at CcHUB. “Our role is to help them test, refine, and scale their solutions while ensuring they build sustainable businesses.”

For learners with disabilities: TrainDTrainer Ltd, Talktu, DAWN AI STUDY, Efiwe Expanding access in underserved communities: Ileemore Technologies Limited, Skillup Africa, Lena Improving opportunities for girls and young women: Heels and Tech, NursePadi, Skilladder AI, Lalitah Building education data infrastructure: Ribara Analytica
The Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship has supported 72 companies across Africa since its launch in 2019, reaching over 700,000 learners. The initiative aims to not only digitize education but also redistribute opportunities for marginalized populations.
