Startups, SMEs, tech innovators and entrepreneurs across Nigeria are invited to participate in the Startup Innovation Challenge 2026. This online innovation challenge offers over ₦100 million worth of prizes including cash awards, AWS credits, mentorship opportunities and business resources.
Participants will have a chance to access at least ₦1.5 million in AWS credit from Transnet Cloud, enabling them to host their platforms on the cloud with no upfront fees. The challenge provides visibility, investor readiness support, and a free AWS-powered environment for continued development of tech-enabled solutions.
The competition is open to all genders, with no age restriction. Applicants should be either Nigerian citizens or African residents building solutions for the African market. All submissions must demonstrate at least an MVP stage with a functional website.
To apply, entrepreneurs can submit their business plans, pitch decks and supporting documents through the Startup Abuja portal by May 31, 2026. This is a valuable opportunity to gain recognition, funding and support for innovative solutions addressing challenges in the African market.
