Connecting Families Across Continents: DigiPay Launches Mobile Transfer Service
Pan-African fintech innovator DigiPay has partnered with European technology provider Belmoney to introduce DigiTransfer, a mobile application facilitating remittances from France and Belgium to the Republic of Congo (RoC) and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Addressing Financial Inclusion in Africa
DigiPay was founded in 2020 with a mission to bridge African economies and their diasporas through modern payment solutions. The company recognized that while many Africans remain unbanked, mobile penetration is widespread, creating an opportunity to deliver financial services via smartphones.
“When we created DigiPay in Congo during the pandemic, our priority was to keep families connected,” explained Gachlem Ngassaki-Zoni, founder and CEO of DigiPay Group. “We’ve since expanded our offering to meet evolving needs, always prioritizing speed, security, and respect for our users.”
Leveraging Strategic Partnerships
The partnership with Belmoney enables DigiTransfer to operate on a secure, regulated European platform while extending its reach beyond Africa. Founded in 2013, Belmoney provides white-label remittance solutions used by financial institutions across more than 150 countries.
“We needed a partner who shared our vision for accessible and reliable money transfers,” Ngassaki-Zoni added. “Belmoney’s robust infrastructure gives our users complete peace of mind while serving as a launchpad for future European expansion.”
Key Features of DigiTransfer:
- Instant money transfers directly to mobile wallets and bank accounts in Congo
- Secure platform built on Belmoney’s regulated European network
- User-friendly interface accessible from smartphones
- Competitive exchange rates with transparent fee structures
- Additional features planned, including bill payments and savings options
The launch of DigiTransfer establishes a crucial remittance corridor between Europe and Congo while positioning DigiPay for further growth in the African diaspora market.
