Seychelles-based fintech Fusepay has expanded its offerings beyond digital payments with the launch of Fuse360, an AI-native operating system designed specifically for trade businesses across the Indian Ocean and Africa. The platform combines inventory management, order processing, invoicing, customer credit, collections, and retailer relationships into a single ecosystem.

Fuse360 builds on Fusepay’s existing payment infrastructure, allowing businesses to manage both operational and financial transactions within one interface. According to Vidhyasahar Thiyagarajan, cofounder and CEO of Fusepay, the system addresses the common challenge of trade businesses using disconnected applications for different functions.

“We didn’t build Fuse360 because the world needed another ERP,” Thiyagarajan explained. “We built it because we saw businesses spending more time managing these disconnected systems than growing their business.” He added that AI enables a fundamental rethinking of how trade operations should function from the ground up.

The new platform includes AI agents that automate repetitive tasks such as payment reconciliation, collections management, and operational analysis. These agents operate within the Fuse360 environment with access to real-time data on inventory, payments, and customer interactions—allowing them to generate recommendations and automate workflows without manual data transfer.

Fuse360 also features a retailer portal for order placement, invoice access, balance reviews, and direct communication with suppliers. The platform incorporates AI-powered credit intelligence that analyzes payment patterns to assess risk and optimize credit terms.

With an estimated 244 million businesses in Africa and merchandise trade reaching $1.5 trillion in 2024, Fusepay is targeting a significant market opportunity as intra-African trade grows under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). While competitors like Odoo, SAP Business One, Bumpa, and Sabi already serve this sector, Fusepay aims to differentiate with its focus on trade-specific functionality rather than general ERP solutions.

The company has raised $350,000 in pre-seed funding and is currently expanding from its Seychelles base to Mauritius and other African markets. Fusepay envisions connecting wholesalers, distributors, manufacturers, and retailers through a single AI-native platform that streamlines the entire trade lifecycle.
