Building for Global Markets from Ghana
Benjamin Etrue founded myAlert with a clear mission: to develop practical, AI-powered software solutions that address real-world problems. The company operates lean by design, prioritizing deep technical execution and product thinking over extensive funding rounds.
The portfolio includes:
- QueristAI (QAi): An adaptive learning platform for trivia and educational content, offering personalized experiences based on user interactions
- Passso: A fan concierge app that uses AI to enhance event experiences
- Koppywrite AI: A SaaS platform enabling users to query, summarize, and interact with PDF documents through natural language
- Agricon: A precision agriculture solution currently in development
Addressing Untapped Markets
Etrue identified a gap between competitive trivia entertainment and professional continuing education. While platforms like Kahoot have added AI features, they remain largely superficial compared to myAlert’s approach.
The founder explained: “Existing trivia platforms offer limited personalization, while CPE (Continuing Professional Education) platforms are often dry and compliance-focused. No one currently bridges these two worlds effectively.” QueristAI seeks to fill this void by offering both engaging entertainment and professional development value in a single platform.
Early Traction and Expansion Plans
QAi has already gained organic traction in Ghana, Cameroon, and the UAE. The startup’s immediate focus is on expanding across English-speaking West Africa, where mobile usage is high and demand for professional certifications is growing rapidly.
MyAlert plans to expand geographically into Europe and the US while also targeting specific vertical markets. Integrating with professional accreditation bodies like ISACA and ACCA could unlock a global user base of professionals seeking both engaging learning experiences and verifiable credentials.
