Shiprazor Raises $2.65 Million to Revolutionize African E-Commerce Fulfilment
Cape Town-based Shiprazor, an e-commerce logistics platform, has announced a successful seed funding round of $2.65 million. The investment will fuel the company’s mission to simplify shipping at scale for African online merchants by providing access to multiple courier options and intelligent delivery management tools.
Founded in 2023, Shiprazor enables merchants to integrate with over 20 courier partners through a single platform. This allows businesses to optimize delivery decisions, track shipments in real-time, automate post-purchase communication, and leverage AI-powered workflow optimization—all from one dashboard.
The funding round was led by pan-African venture capital firm Norrsken22, with participation from AAIC, E4E, Tremis Capital, and angel investors including senior leaders at Google. This brings Shiprazor’s total secured funding to $3.3 million.
Key Investment Priorities
The new investment will be strategically deployed across three core areas:
- Expanding Courier Network: Adding more logistics partners, particularly in underserved regions of South Africa
- Improving Coverage: Extending reliable delivery services to previously inaccessible areas
- Lowering Shipping Costs: Leveraging increased competition among couriers to drive down prices for merchants
Shiprazor has already processed over 1.5 million deliveries across South Africa, demonstrating its traction with real businesses seeking more efficient logistics solutions.
Agentic Commerce Vision
Beyond immediate improvements in delivery performance, Shiprazor is building toward a future of “agentic commerce” where AI-powered agents automate interactions between buyers and sellers. The company plans to launch additional AI features that proactively identify issues, recommend actions, and handle tasks without manual intervention.
“South African merchants are incredibly resilient but shouldn’t have to struggle with basic fulfilment infrastructure,” said Sahil Affriya, founder and CEO of Shiprazor. “Our goal is to be the single logistics layer that helps them ship more for less while providing customers with a better experience at every touchpoint.”
Nivesh Pather, investment principal at Norrsken22, highlighted Africa’s e-commerce potential but noted its fragmented nature drives up costs. “Shiprazor is building the missing infrastructure layer that African merchants need to compete effectively—and they’re doing it with a deep understanding of this market.”
