Catalytic Funding Boost for Six Promising African Ventures

Six innovative startups from across Africa have been awarded a combined $400,000 in funding through the 2026 Finca Ventures Prize Competition. This initiative, managed by Finca’s impact investing arm, recognizes entrepreneurial talent developing scalable solutions to critical challenges facing the continent.

The competition, now in its third year, attracted over 700 applications across two categories: fintech for financial inclusion and sustainable agriculture/food systems. Finalists pitched their ventures before a panel of judges on October 6th in San Francisco, hosted by Cisco.
