Ugandan Startup Tyms AI Unveils New Intelligent Assistant Platform

Tyms AI, a startup from Uganda, has officially launched its human-first artificial intelligence platform designed to help medium and enterprise businesses operate more efficiently. The company’s offering combines AI software with intelligent agents that automate routine tasks across multiple departments—including finance, sales, marketing, customer service, and compliance—freeing employees to focus on higher-value activities.

The core philosophy behind Tyms AI is that people bring essential qualities like wisdom, judgment, and creativity to business operations. Rather than positioning AI as a replacement for human workers, the platform emphasizes its role in augmenting human capabilities by handling repetitive tasks and accelerating progress toward strategic goals.

“Our mission is to empower humanity to do its best work,” stated Allan Rwakatungu, co-founder and CEO of Tyms AI. “I’m an entrepreneur from a developing country, and I believe business is the catalyst for progress. We built Tyms to help businesses around the world do their best work, with AI handling the drudgery and humans focused on what actually matters.”

Intelligent Assistance Across Operations

Every employee and customer gains access to their own AI assistant that performs “invisible work”—collecting data, analyzing information, generating reports, and executing background processes. These assistants go beyond simple automation by applying real intelligence to move tasks forward in alignment with each business’s specific objectives.

With the initial web version available now, Tyms plans to add mobile access, chat functionality, and integrations with popular workplace tools like Microsoft Teams and Slack later this year.
